📦 Important storage instructions for dry food
Anyone buying larger quantities should pay attention to proper storage – especially for bagged goods:
- ☀️ In summer: Store in a cool and dry place. Heat and moisture can attract pests such as grain beetles.
- 💧 Avoid sweating: Dry food should never sweat – moisture and temperature fluctuations promote mold formation, which can be dangerous for animals.
- ❄️ In winter: Protect from frost and strong temperature fluctuations – this can also cause the food to sweat.
- 📦 Do not store directly on the floor: Simply place a layer of cardboard, a wooden board, or a small pallet underneath – this is completely sufficient to keep out ground moisture. Especially with 12 kg bags, this is the simplest and most practical solution.
- ✅ Ideal year-round: 10–15 °C, dry, protected from light, and well sealed.
