General: Offer a small amount and observe how much the animals eat completely. As a supplement to the main feed or as a complete feed depending on the animal species. 🐦 Wild Birds: Offer in a shallow dish on the bird feeder – robins, titmice, and blackbirds particularly love mealworms! Especially valuable during breeding season (March–July) and in winter as high-energy food. 🦜 Parrots & Ornamental Birds: Offer as a protein supplement 2–3 times a week, especially during molting and breeding season. 🐔 Poultry: Sprinkle daily as a supplement to the main feed – promotes egg-laying performance and feather quality. 🐟 Fish & Koi: Place a small amount directly into the water – the mealworms sink slowly and are eagerly eaten. Feed only as much as can be consumed within 5–10 minutes to avoid water pollution. 🐢 Aquatic Turtles: Offer on the water surface – turtles readily snap up the floating mealworms. 🦎 Reptiles: Offer as a protein supplement 2–3 times a week, depending on the animal species and size. 🐣 Rearing Tip for Bird Chicks & Nestlings: Soak mealworms in lukewarm water for 10–15 minutes until soft. Then finely crush or grind them and offer as a moist paste directly into the beak with blunt tweezers. The high protein content supports optimal growth and feather development.
